Tooth Eruption Chart
A comprehensive guide to when each tooth typically appears and falls out.
A tooth eruption chart maps the typical timeline for both primary and permanent teeth. Primary teeth generally follow this pattern: central incisors (6-12 months), lateral incisors (9-16 months), canines (16-23 months), first molars (13-19 months), and second molars (23-33 months). Permanent teeth erupt in a predictable sequence: first molars and lower central incisors (6-7 years), upper central and lower lateral incisors (7-8 years), upper lateral incisors (8-9 years), canines and premolars (9-12 years), second molars (11-13 years), and third molars/wisdom teeth (17-25 years). Individual variations of 6-12 months from these averages are normal.
